Welcome to the worlds easiest cookie recipe. No special equipment needed, no special baking skills required and it´s ok if you measurements are not 100% on the money. Seriously folks, these Spanish turron cookies are so easy to make, it will blow your mind.
The crazy thing about these Spanish turron cookies, is that they taste exactly like the famous Spanish Almond nougat. We´re talking roasted almonds and honey flavored cookies. Hello Yuminess 🙂 . We´re not compromising any flavor in these cookies just because they´re easy to make.
Like I said before, to make these Spanish turron cookies, you don´t need any special baking equipment and no special baking skills. Just 7 simple ingredients you probably already have in your pantry and a standard bowl.
TIPS & TRICKS to make this recipe: Make sure you use parchment paper when you add the cookie dough into the baking tray. Otherwise the cookies will stick and they will fall apart. It took me 6 to 8 minutes to bake my cookies, but every oven heats differently. Just make sure they don´t burn in the bottom and they cook all the way through. Stick a toothpick inside one of the cookies, if it comes out cleanly they are done.
Key Ingredients & Cookware I used in this Recipe:
BLANCHED MARCONA ALMONDS

- 1/4cupgranulated sugar
- 1/4tspsea salt
- 1/4cuphoney
- 1large organic egg
Instructions
Add 1 cup of blanched almonds to a baking tray lined with parchment paper and make sure they´re all in a single layer, add to a preheated oven, bake + broil option 210 C - 410 F between 6 to 7 minutes, then remove from the oven and transfer to a bowl
Add 1 cup of all-purpose flour into a large bowl, along with 1 tsp of baking powder, a 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and a 1/4 tsp of sea salt, mix the dry ingredients together, then add in the roasted almonds, a 1/4 cup of honey and 1 large organic egg, mix together until well combined
Using a dinner spoon, scoop up some of the cookie dough and add to a baking tray lined with parchment paper, using the spoon and your fingers flatten out the cookie, the design of the cookie does not matter, just make sure each cookie is the same thickness, you should end up with 9 to 10 cookies
Add the baking tray into a preheated oven, bake only option 175 C - 350 F between 6 to 8 minutes, then remove from the oven and transfer to a wire rack, after 10 minutes the cookies are ready to be served, they can be stored in a plastic container for up to 3 days, enjoy!

Very easy to make, and delicious! I made twice the recipe, because I wanted more than 9 cookies. But the recipe, if you use tablespoons-full of dough, will yield more than 9 cookies! The doubled recipe made about 40 cookies!11 . Jan . 2020
