Recipe Variations
For chocolate mint shots, use mint-flavored Oreos and top with melted mint chocolate.
For s’more shots, substitute the Oreo cookie for a graham cracker and use regular Hershey’s chocolate bars. Toast marshmallows on sticks over an open flame before assembling the shooters.
For peanut butter shots, use peanut butter cups in place of the Hershey’s Kisses and top with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Biscoff/Speculoos spread is a popular alternative to cream cheese as it is thicker and sweeter. It can also be served frozen (to create a thicker shot).
Oatmeal raisin cookies work well if you want to go for an “out of the box” version.
Recipes can also be adapted into larger servings by placing the ingredients into glasses and topping with whipped cream.
For St. Patrick’s Day, top green-dyed frosting on white chocolate chips. There are endless variations so feel free to experiment!
